Several outstanding instructors will join the program for the first time: Eugene Schwartz will offer an unusual course on the festivals; Linden Sturgis will present speech and the Rudolf Steiner’s mystery dramas; Laura Summer will guide professionals and beginners alike toward the sacred in art; and Susan Brown will teach the art of stained glass.
The Center for Anthroposophy will also offer a practical courses specifically for Waldorf teachers—Roberto Trostli will teach science for grades 6,7, and 8; Elizabeth Auer will offer a course on teaching grades 1, 2, and 3; Michael d’Aleo will present a high school course on environmentalism; Hiroshi Hayashi (our master summer chef) and Barbara Sustick will offer first-hand experience in cooking and nutrition; and Christopher Sblendorio (a class teacher on his fourth cycle) offers a course on the movement curriculum.
Returning faculty members include Kim Payne, Georg Locher, Nancy Mellon, Torin Finser, Jamie York, Douglas Gerwin, Siegfried Finser, Cezary Ciaglo, Sandy Pearson, and Christopher Bamford.
As always, The Center for Anthroposophy will foster a retreat atmosphere through their traditions of good food, long lunch breaks, relaxation by the swimming pool, glorious mountain vistas, and festive evening events.
