AUTHOR SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
We are always looking for quality writing on anthroposophic topics, spirituality and meditation, medicine and healing, psychology and social issues, cultural renewal, Waldorf education, and books for children and family activities. If you are interested in submitting your work, send your proposal or manuscript to SteinerBooks. To make the process smoother and more efficient, we have developed the following guidelines:
A book proposal should include:
1. a synopsis of the book
2. a table of contents or outline
3. the author's résumé or short bio
4. at least two or three sample chapters
The manuscript should be double-spaced (without blank lines between paragraphs except where significant breaks occur or to indicate an extracted quote).
The review process for manuscripts may take two to four months.
We are receptive to a wide variety of topics, but we rarely publish fiction, poetry, and art books (i.e., large-format "coffee-table" books).
You may elect to receive a response from our editors by email. If you wish to receive a response by physical mail, please be sure to include a self-addressed envelope with sufficient postage (from outside the U.S., include an international postal money order for postage). The manuscripts and proposals themselves are generally not returned.
Please send materials to the attention of the Acquiring Editor:Christopher Bamford
