This issue features lots of new books from SteinerBooks, Lindisfarne Books, Bell Pond Books, as well as from the many other publishers for whom we distribute.

Torin FinserAgain, we offer a number of interviews and excerpts for your enjoyment. First is the introduction an interesting new book from Torin Finser, Organizational Integrity: How to Apply the Wisdom of the Body to Develop Healthy Organizations, in which he examines organizations in the light of the human being in body, soul, and spirit. The results are surprising. Dr. Finser is Director of the Waldorf Teacher Education Program at Antioch University New England and the author of several books on Waldorf education and related issues.

David TresemerAnother new book is Star Wisdom and Rudolf Steiner: A Life Seen through the Oracle of the Solar Cross by David Tresemer and Robert Schiappacasse. Here, we feature an interview with David Tresemer, who explains some of the essential points of his approach to Astrosophy, the study of stars, or “starry script,” and their relationship to human beings. The primary example he employs to describe his method is through the life of Rudolf Steiner and other well-known personalities who share what he terms “solar crosses.”

Carl von EssenAnother new book comes from Carl von Essen, a man devoted to the natural world and how it can change us. His book, The Hunter's Trance: Nature, Spirit & Ecology, looks at our human relationship to nature from the perspectives of spiritual traditions, psychology, and personal experiences. We interview Carl von Essen, a medical doctor, who describes in his book what he calls “nature mysticism” and how such experiences can help us toward transformation and wholeness.

Christopher BamfordOne of the newest books in the “Collected Works of Rudolf Steiner is Rosicrucianism Renewed: The Unity of Art, Science & Religion: The Theosophical Congress of Whitsun 1907. In this issue of our Spring Reader, we reproduced the first half of Christopher Bamford’s excellent and informative introduction to this important book (part 2 will appear later this year in SteinerBooks' Steiner & Spirit catalog). The introduction, as well as the book itself, sheds light on the genesis and development of Anthroposophy and the movement as we know it today. Mr. Bamford gives us an insightful glimpse into the events—especially that fateful conference of 1907—that bought Western esoteric spiritual traditions into the modern era in the form of spiritual science.

Siegfried FinserSaving what is perhaps the best for last, we are happy to present an interview with Siegfried Finser, founder of the Rudolf Steiner Foundation (RSF) and the author of Money Can Heal: Evolving Our Consciousness: The Story of RSF and Its Innovations in Social Finance.—a book that we at SteinerBooks are especially excited about. As Hazel Henderson (author, Ethical Markets: Growing the Green Economy tells us, “You will never see money in the same way after reading this ground-breaking book.” It may just turn your notion of money on its head.

All this and new books, too! What more could you ask for?
