SCHOOL OF GEOMANCY
With Ana and Marko Pogacnik

This two-and-a-half year program provides teaching on geomancy and personal growth. It is composed of seven units, all of which are vital to complete the program and develop the inner skills needed to practice this art.

Ana and Marko Pogacnik have, during the last fifteen years, developed an original approach to geomancy. Working with vital forces, elemental beings, and spiritual centers of the landscape is linked to the awakening of the personal sensitivity and inner evolution of the participants. As a result, participants have the possibility of finding their way in perceiving and interpreting phenomena, both inner and outer, without being attached to a particular technique or belief system. The basis of the teaching is a holistic means of perception that includes body, mind, and heart, coupled with the freedom of loving the Earth and Cosmos.

Each program is to be held in different places across the country; participants will give suggestions on places to work and help arrange events. The first unit will be at The Roundhouse, a retreat center in Colrain, Mass.

1. Unit: September 11 - 14, 2008
Inner Perception, Angelic Presence
With Ana Pogacnik

There will be two components, which will flow parallel to each other:
The first is the discovery of our own tools for perception and the barriers that prevent us from remaining in inner communication with ourselves, with the landscape, and with the other dimensions and worlds. One such world is the angelic world, the "angelic ocean," which will be the second subject of this unit. We will learn about the angelic presence within us and how it manifests in the landscape. Through various exercises, we will experience ways to find such places in the landscape and learn how to work more closely with this kind of energy.

2. Unit: March 19 - 22, 2009
Multidimensionality of a Place
With Marko Pogacnik

Each place is composed of many layers of reality. The purpose of this workshop is to experience those dimensions—first of all the vital energies and power centers of the place, then the sphere of elemental beings, or nature spirits, and the spiritual dimension of the "landscape temple." Corresponding exercises of perception will be taught. Students will learn how it is possible to translate the language of landscape into logical terms of human thought.

3. Unit: July 16 - 19, 2009
Vital Energy Systems I
With Ana Pogacnik

We will start to discover the vital-energy level of the landscape, which we can compare with the chakra system and meridians of the human body. Through different exercises, we will learn different qualities and energies of the landscape and the organs of the Earth. Through this deep contact, we will mirror our self in different aspects of the landscape and, in this way, discover our own inner landscape. We will also explore various techniques for working with the landscape and specific places. In that way, we will move not only outer blockages and qualities, but also those of our inner landscape. It will also be possible to practice and discover geomantic phenomena at home during the periods between these units and to be in contact (by email or post) with Ana, who will provide reflection and help.

4. Unit: October 1 - 4, 2009
Language of the Cosmograms
With Marko Pogacnik

This course offers students experiences of different forms of universal language, followed by a focus on cosmograms as a practical possibility of conveying a visual message to the beings of nature, the consciousness of a given place. We will also explore and experience different nearby places, where participants will use various tools for geomantic healing work. One such tool will be the creation of cosmograms for certain aspects of the chosen place, thus meeting its specific needs. We will practice drawing as a tool for this purpose. The capacity learned can be used later while working with other places, or while taking care for one's own place.

5. Unit: March, 2010
Vital Energy Systems II
With Ana Pogacnik

We will continue with discovering the vital-energy level of the landscape, which we have started already in the third unit (Vital Energy Systems I). Through different exercises, we will get to know various qualities and energies of the landscape and the organs of the Earth, which we can compare with the chakra system and meridians of our own body. Through this deep contact with places and qualities, we will mirror ourselves in aspects of the landscape and, in this way, discover our own inner landscape. We will continue with inner work and observe the inner patterns holding us back from being fully present in life. By being together in the landscape, we will experience techniques for working with the landscape and places.

6. Unit: July 2010
Decoding the Totality of a Given Place
With Ana Pogacnik

In this unit we will accede to the place as a concluded integrity. We will discover its different levels and aspects and search for its primeval power, as well as its weaknesses and imprinted patterns. Through this research work, we will touch the essence of the place and unfold its mystery. In this way, we will approach its deepest truth. Through our work with these places, energies, and aspects in the landscape, we will touch our own primeval power and essence and become more familiar with our own deepest inner truth. We will also continue with to work with the inner vision of our life and see how we can bring it even more into reality to be able to live it more immediately.

7. CONCLUDING WORK: October 2010
A Geopuncture Stone Circle
With Marko and Marika Pogacnik

As conclusion of the study (if a suitable site is found), the group will create with Marko and his wife Marika a geopuncture stone circle. Participants will learn to carve cosmograms. During the preparation process, we will create a cosmogram for the place and carve it into stone. The circle will stand permanently as a contribution by the group to the Earth's transformation process.

Marko Pogačnik was born in 1944 in Kranj, Slovenia. He studied sculpting at university and acquired an international reputation in conceptual land art. He has developed this further into Earth “lithopuncture,” with the goal of healing disturbed landscapes and Earth’s power points. He leads seminars in environmental healing throughout the world and provides advice on landscape matters for communities and businesses. He is president of the Hagia Chora School for Geomancy in Germany and is a faculty member of the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York. In 1997, he helped establish LIFEnet, a worldwide network for geomancy and transformation. He is the author of numerous books, including Venice: Discovering a Hidden Pathway (2008); Sacred Geography: Geomancy: Co-creating the Earth Cosmos (2008); and Turned Upside Down: A Workbook on Earth Changes and Personal Transformation (2004).

Ana Pogačnik, born in Slovenia in 1973, is an archaeologist and pianist now living in Munich. Ana conducts educational programs and collaborates frequently with her father, Marko Pogačnik, at earth-healing projects throughout the world. In 2001, she founded the Schule “Wieder Sehen.” Ana has published numerous books (in Slovenian and German), in which she hopes to encourage self-development and a better understanding of the landscape.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

DAILY SCHEDULE:

Each unit will begin at 7:00 PM on the Thursday evening with a talk. Each of the subsequent days of that unit will begin at 9:00 AM. The program of each unit will end on the Sunday at 12 Noon (approximately).

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

COST: The Registration/Tuition Fee for each unit is $350. Room, meals and transportation are EXTRA and are the responsibility of the participant. ( Hence in the previous program, retreat houses were used to keep costs as low as possible). Payment deadlines are given below.

PAYMENT: Payment may be made by check, if drawn on a US bank and made payable to SteinerBooks; or by Visa, MasterCard or American Express.

We must have a minimum of 20 people for this program, otherwise it may have to be cancelled.
